Your Voice, Ages 18–35: Reflections on a Christian’s Passing

I’m reaching out to young adults (ages 18–35) to hear your thoughts on Charlie Kirk’s passing. I find aspects of his life and his style of engaging young people with faith-driven ideas laudable and worth emulating, but this isn’t about praise or politics—it’s a space for honest, Christ-centered reflection.

Even if you’re outside this age range, your reflections are welcome. Your perspective will help shape a thoughtful piece reflecting what this generation thinks, feels, and wrestles with in response to a faith-driven public figure.

Please share your thoughts with honesty and respect so everyone can engage constructively. Write as much or as little as you like; I’ll polish for clarity and context.

For a sense of my perspective, check my “About” page.

Here’s a sample of the questions I’m asking:

Initial Impressions

  • How did you first hear about Charlie Kirk, and what was your impression of his faith or public work?
  • Did you agree or disagree with anything he said, especially regarding Christian values? How did it shape your thinking?

Emotional Responses

  • What emotions came up when you learned of his passing?
  • How does the passing of a public, faith-driven figure affect your reflection on their influence?
  • How do you process the loss of someone polarizing yet faith-driven?

Lessons and Reflections

  • What lessons—positive or cautionary—can be drawn from his life or career, through a Christian lens?
  • Even if you disagreed with him, did any aspect of his approach (e.g., engaging youth, boldness for faith) seem constructive?
  • Did his media presence spark faith-rooted discussions you wouldn’t have had otherwise?
  • If you could ask him one question today, rooted in Christian respect, what would it be?
  • If you could write a message to someone like him, grounded in Christian compassion, what would it say?

How to Submit

  • Google FormSubmit your thoughts here for quick, private responses.
  • Email: vinividiscripsi [at] yahoo [dot] com, for those prefer that.

Deadline: September 19. Responses will remain confidential unless you say otherwise. I’ll edit for clarity and to remove anything divisive.

The article will be posted here at Veni, vidi, scripsi.

That’s it for now. Thanks for showing up. It matters.
